During my walk I found “Art Alley”. It is a block long alley full of mural art. To paint in the alley you must have permission.  So the art work is Not graffiti but really art.

Today I visited an artist in Rapid City.  After our visit I took a walk around the downtown area. It was a beautiful day and the sun felt good.

I spend 15-20 minutes looking around.  I wish I could have taken more time.

If you are in the area it is worth a visit.

Art is important to the native people.  For many it is a way to express themselves. It also helps them provide for their families. So if you are in the hills or the reservation support the local people. Do not waste your money on China made souvenirs. There is a gas station selling “dream catchers” clearly made in China.
