Despite the heat of the day business continued as normal at the center. Well, perhaps not normal, because there is no such thing as normal at the center. The temperature was scheduled to hit 108! So, we opened the shelter today and movies showers and naps were in order.

But sandwiches were given out. Coffee was still requested. And the work continued. The kids were taken to the park and after some time of play they were taken to the school for lunch.

Today was my first full day back at the center since I caught Bronchitis. I am still a little tired and my energy is not what it will be. And I lost 7 pounds while sick!

My time down got me behind on paperwork. So if I owe you anything you may need to remind me.
