Okay so I tend to work a lot. There is a lot to be done. But the truth is I have always stayed busy. At one point I had 3 jobs and went to seminary full time. I try to make sure I carve out time for the important things in life. God, Family and then me. I try to make sure that Jackie and I do something each week. Today was supposed to be a date day.
But COVID.
Yesterday was a Nothing day. And Today Jackie and I had planned to get out get lost and find someplace to eat. But with the rise in COVID numbers the tribe as put us on Spread Level RED. They are asking the people to reduce to only essential travel. That and the idea of eating inside a restaurant, while tempting, is scary. We chose to stay home, and I cooked a roast for dinner.
I mentioned that I cooked all day yesterday and I did so again today. Jackie has limited mobility and is recovering from foot, ankle and wrist surgery all on her left side. She cannot stand extended periods of time. So, for now, I am doing the cooking.
Tonight, we will put on a fire, turn down the lights and listen to music. Perhaps we will even have a dance.
Jackie is a gifted person who I am blessed to have in my life. We have been married for 12+ years and I could not do this ministry without her. Calendars using her photography are available on the center’s website.
