Today was a busy day. Good but busy. Almost hectic. I got a lot done.

I was able to spend quality time with Jackie. We went to a favorite coffee house in Chadron NE. I did a couple of quick errands. Great food. Great service. And a cat. If you are in Chadron, I highly recommend the Bean and Broker. We had to cut the day short. I had a funeral today. So we got home and changed clothes to head to the church to receive the body.

Time at the Center. Again, great staff! Follow up with some future groups, submitted a grant reimbursement request. Some follow-up meetings with staff and partners. All and all good. Home for dinner and back to the church for a prayer service.

Again it was a good day. But in some ways, it was a heavy day. Funerals always weigh on me. This one feels like family. It is at the small church I preach at on a regular basis. I know most of the people. It is for a young man who was killed.

On the way home, I decided that I needed a breather. A time of peace. Calm. Fortunately, I know a rancher with Bison. I pulled in and spent quiet time watching the herd, including 4 babies. It filled my spirit. I could have spent hours. They were so peaceful. I was able to clear my mind. I was reminded of God’s love.

Bison 🦬 are wise. They reminded me to relax. To breathe, eat and rest.

God loves you and so do I.
