No, I am not turning 40.

Rather, I have lost 40 pounds since mid November.  On Halloween, I gave up eating sweets. No cupcakes, cakes, cinnamon rolls etc….. I will have a small piece of chocolate from time to time, but the only sweet I have had since is a piece of homemade pineapple upside down cake on my birthday.

I have gone down 2 pants sizes, and I feel so much better.

From this….
To this….

Now, we produce a wide range of sweets for all the support groups we host. And my cooks are awesome.  We provide delicious food for shelter. It is very tempting to try little bits. But, I like how I look and feel.

I like how my body is responding. I no longer take prilosec. My blood sugar is down. I am looking forward to my next doctor’s appointment.  I am hopeful that other meds can be reduced or removed.

I am lighter now than when I was 30!

I have gone from obese to overweight on the BMI list. According to the index, I should be 205 pounds. Now I am not aiming for that. I am going for 220.

I am hopeful that my new health is going to allow me to show people that God loves them and so do I.
